Rae Wilson came to winemaking from the floor, as a sommelier. She started Wine For The People in 2010, added Dandy Rosé in 2014 and the La Valentía wines in 2019, and joined William Chris Wine Company in 2023. She still makes every bottle.
The House
Wine For The People
Wine For The People is the original name, the one Rae started in 2010. The wines that carry it, with their colorful labels, are the wholesale side of the business, made for restaurants and retail shelves rather than the club.
The Club
The wines Rae makes in the smallest quantities, three times a year, with labels built in collage by Austin artist Katy Schmader. The club is the only way to get them.
